Your packing list

Now make it all fit

A good list is half the job; the other half is getting it into the bag. Compression cubes are the highest-value upgrade here — they sort the list into blocks and squeeze the air out of the soft items, which is usually the difference between closing a carry-on and giving up on one. A tracker in the bag covers the case where the airline, not your packing, is the problem.

Packing lists — frequently asked

How does the packing list generator work?

You set your trip length, destination climate, trip type and a few extras, and the tool builds a categorised checklist with quantities that scale to your number of nights. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent to a server or stored.

Is the packing list free and do I need to sign up?

It is completely free with no sign-up. You can generate as many lists as you like, tick items off, and print or save the result as a PDF.

How many clothes should I pack for a trip?

A good rule is to pack for about a week and do laundry on longer trips rather than packing a fresh outfit per day. This tool caps clothing counts automatically and lowers them further when you mark that laundry is available.

Can I print the packing list or save it as a PDF?

Yes. Use the "Print / save as PDF" button — it opens your browser’s print dialog, where you can send it to a printer or choose "Save as PDF" as the destination.

Does the list account for carry-on liquid rules?

If you don’t mark that you’re checking a bag, the list reminds you to keep liquids in a clear quart bag at 100 ml or less each, in line with standard carry-on security rules.
